"Picture and seeing magazine" Drawing hyper-real oil painting, Ozeri's first solo exhibition in Japan
The solo exhibition "Erasing Photography" by artist Igar Ozeri who creates a unique worldview with hyper-realistic oil painting is being held at Daikanyama Hillside Terrace Hillside Forum till February 4 (Saturday).
Born in Israel in 1958, Mr. Igar Ozeri who is currently based in New York. It is known for the transcendental technique which draws the flow of "photorealism" that captures the momentary appearance of a woman like a picture. As far as Ozeri's work is concerned, it does not look like an oil painting at first sight, such as the expression of a woman's face and flow of each hair, clothing exchanges, fine-grained skin shining with natural light. It is strongly influenced by the frontier of Raphael and creates Ozeri's unique view of the world that fused allegorical situations and imagination with contemporary reality.
Currently, we will exhibit "50 Years of Hyperrealistic Painting" focusing on hyper realism along with great masters such as Richard Estes, Chuck Cloth etc and visiting Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, Spain and Birmingham Museum in the UK , And has gained a high reputation worldwide.
This will be my first solo exhibition in Japan this time, Mik Jagger's daughter depicting the model Lizzie Jaguar, and Zuzana who is born in Poland and is active as a fashion model for Versace, Gucci and others, is the first model appointed Announced a series depicting Kaopang (Kaopan) of a female DJ. About 15 painting artworks and about 5 drawing works are posted.
Through the work of Ozeri who performs realistic representation with analog oil paintings, it gives us the opportunity to think about what the boundary between reality and art is. Please give surprised fine brush feel, by all means at the venue.
