Soccer festival held in the streets of Shibuya including street soccer, freestyle, etc.

The urban soccer festival "FOOTBALL JAM 2023" will be held on Saturday, October 21st at SHIBUYA STREAM Inaribashi Plaza, MIYASHITA PARK, Yoyogi Park, and other areas around Shibuya Station.

The festival, which has the theme of "Kicking, Watching, and Playing," will be held for the first time in March 2022 in order to introduce "a new way to enjoy soccer" from Shibuya that is not just about watching games. Taking advantage of Shibuya's unique characteristics of not being able to secure a large court, there will be freestyle performances, street soccer tournaments, public practice by SHIBUYA CITY FC, a soccer club from Shibuya aiming to join the J League, and an exhibition of soccer works that combine art and fashion to kick the ball. This project proposes ways to get involved with and enjoy soccer, rather than just playing soccer.

Following on from last year's March and November, this is the third time the event has been held, and it has been further upgraded, with content that allows you to enjoy the charm of soccer through a one-day experience. Venues include SHIBUYA STREAM, Inaribashi Plaza, SHIBUYA CAST Garden, MIYASHITA PARK multipurpose sports field, Yoyogi Park baseball stadium, etc.

As participatory content, the ``PANNA TOURNAMENT'', a 1v1 street soccer tournament without contact or sliding, will be held at SHIBUYA CAST Garden and SHIBUYA STREAM Inaribashi Plaza. Games will be played in a tournament format and a winner will be decided at the end. Participation fee is free for Shibuya residents, 1,000 yen for beginners, and 2,000 yen for others. Those wishing to participate must pre-register. In addition, a street soccer experience session for beginners will be held at the same venue. 12:00-18:00.

At the MIYASHITA PARK multipurpose sports field, we will be holding a new type of sport called ``Beach Flags x Soccer,'' which is a combination of beach flags and soccer. You can experience the fun of kicking a soccer ball on the beach, such as beach soccer and kick target experiences using sand cords. Anyone can participate and it's free. 13:00-16:00.

``YOYOGI FOOTBALL JAM PARK'' will be held at Yoyogi Park Stadium, a collection of soccer content that everyone can enjoy. You can experience sports that even people with no soccer experience can enjoy, such as ``foot darts,'' which is a combination of darts and soccer, ``bilicker,'' which is a combination of billiards and soccer, ``foot golf,'' ``soccer tennis,'' and ``soccer bowling.'' Anyone can participate and it's free. 13:00-16:00.

Furthermore, "FREESTYLE BATTLE in FOOTBALL JAM 2023", where world-class freestyle football players gather, will also be held at SHIBUYA STREAM Inaribashi Plaza. From lifting, which is a basic soccer technique, to acrobatic techniques that incorporate elements of dance, it is a new sport that can be enjoyed by viewers as entertainment. On the day of the event, the judges will select the best tricks and combos created by each player and award the winner. There will be a kids category and categories for men and women, and those who wish can participate as players. Those interested must pre-register. Participation fee is 3,000 yen. 12:00-19:00.
