【募集中】今秋の「シブヤピクセルアート2020」開催に向け、イラスト・アニメ・映像・写真・ゲームなどの作品募集

In preparation for the pixel art festival "Shibuya Pixel Art 2020" scheduled to be held this fall, the Shibuya Pixel Art Executive Committee, which runs the event, is currently setting up a special site to recruit various "Pixel Art" works from Japan and overseas. It is carried out.

"PIXEL (pixel)" is also called "dot (small dot of square)" and is the smallest unit for displaying an image on a computer. The picture or work drawn with the dots is called "pixel art". Shibuya, which is known as "Bid Valley" due to the accumulation of IT ventures, is a city with a high affinity for pixel art, and the same contest-type event started in 2017.

This year's fourth year has five themes: "Shibuya," "AI," "humanity," "game," and "landscape." One or more of the themes will be combined to create an original "pixel art" work. All you have to do is post to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag "#shibuyapixelart2020" and the title of your work. Works such as illustrations, animations, videos, sculptures, embroidery, photographs, games, etc. are invited by various expression methods regardless of digital.

審査員は、ゆずの最新アルバム『YUZUTOWN』のジャケットビジュアルを手掛けたeBoyのほか、慶應義塾大学大学院メディアデザイン研究科 特任教授の水口哲也さん、ファイナル・ファンタジーシリーズのアートディレクションの渋谷員子さん、「絵文字の生み親」として知られる栗田穣崇さん、ドット絵のGIFアニメーションを手掛ける豊井祐太さん、さらに昨年のコンテストで最優秀賞を受賞したm7kenjiさんら、ピクセルアートに精通するメンバーがそろう。 「独自性」「社会性」「構成力」の３つの観点で審査を行い、応募作品の中から最優秀賞（1名）、優秀賞（10名）などの賞を選ぶ。さらに今秋に渋谷ヒカリエで開催する「シブヤピクセルアート2020」で受賞者の作品展示も行う予定。
