帽子専門店「CA4LA（カシラ）」のキャップのイラストデザインなどを手掛け、自分のアパレルブランド「Huu 〜probocative aya〜」も立ち上げているデザイナー、彩櫻恋（あや さくらこ）さん。彩さんのbookmarkは、明治通りから一本入ったところにあるおもちゃ屋さん「ゆーといぴあ」。彩さんは「小さい頃、よくおじいちゃんとテレビを無音で見て内容を話し合ったり、左手ばかりを使う日を作っていた」と想像力を鍛える遊びをしていたことを楽しそうに口にする。幼少期に遊びながら学ぶという実体験から、専門学校卒業後に幼児教育の教室でしばらく先生をしたことも。「子どもは想像力がとても豊かで、まったく予想が付かない遊び方を考え出したりして、こちらが驚かされることがよくある。『ゆーといぴあ』には、色が塗ってない積み木だったり、遊び方が何通りもあるようなおもちゃが置いてあって、子どもと一緒に色や遊び方を考えるのが楽しい」と語ってくれた。「以前『CA4LA』で働いていたときに、手描きのイラストをキャップに描いて販売したら、ファッション雑誌で浜崎あゆみさんが被ってくれて、それをきっかけにhitomiさんや、堂本剛さんからもオリジナルキャップの制作を頼まれたことがあった」と当時の様子を振り返る。今ではそれがメインの仕事となり、毎月200点ぐらいのキャップにひとつひとつ絵を描いている一方、手描きを交えたコラージュなど、個人的な作品作りにも力を惜しまない。多彩なクリエイティブの源になっている想像力は、子どもとの遊びなどを通じて普段から鍛えられているのだろう。
