すっかりご無沙汰してしまい、すみません。編集部のKです。ブログ更新が滞っている間に、気づけば梅雨も空け、うだるような暑さが続いていますね。例年なら、今頃は夏バテ真っ最中で、一年で唯一、痩せることができる時期なのですが、最近は、グルメ系の取材が立て続き、「仕事だから」とひたすら食べ続けていたら、夏バテも忘れて、うっかり夏太りしてしまいました…。　

そんな食欲旺盛モードの今年の夏、自信を持っておススメしたいのが、渋谷駅東口そばの「東京トンテキ」。取材に行って以来、すっかりハマッてしまったお店のひとつです。そもそも、トンテキとは、四日市生まれの豚肉のステーキのこと。オーナーが、サラリーマン時代に出張に行った際、運命的に出合ったトンテキのおいしさに感激し、東京のサラリーマンの癒しになると確信して、出店したそう。　

豚肉には、群馬県安中市で梅エキスを含んだ飼料で育った「上州とことん豚」の肩ロースを使用。甘みがあり、やわらかいのが特徴です。豚肉は焼きすぎるとかたくなってしまうので、これを避けるため、70℃の低温のラードに10分程度漬けてじっくり火を通した後、オーダーが入ってから表面を焼き上げ、鉄板に盛りつけるといった工夫も。人気メニューは、ボリューム満点のトンテキ定食（200ｇ）1000円。テーブルの上にはバルサミコ酢、マヨネーズ、一味といった調味料が常備されていて、味の変化も楽しめます。さっぱりと食べたいときには、バルサミコ酢が美味しいですよ。
